Adult porn and the Christian Woman

When xxx videos think about the phrase “pornography,” does it conjure up the image of a scruffy fellow with messy mane in the basement watching porn in his underpants?

Truth is actually, though a lot of requests for counsel and prayer from males who are slaves to porn are gotten by me, I recently had an encounter with quite a young female who was struggling with that exact same addiction.

I was already aware this particular issue existed among the gentler sex. I was awakened to that fact while listening to a Christian radio program on the subject many years back and was amazed that half the callers were female adolescents. I’ll try to remember the young girl who called crying because she felt powerless to resist the lure. A Christian girl, attending her Youth Group, the children at school started passing around a site address. Desiring to fit in, she logged on. She was hooked. Not merely was she hooked but she tearfully admitted she was confused about her sexuality, getting discovered herself aroused by lesbian images as well as the straight stuff.

My heart ached for her. Still does.

We are sexual beings. Just look at yourself nude in a mirror. Every little thing about our physiology screams reproduction. Without the God given urges we feel, there is no other way would ever procreated the species. Sex was God’s idea (and a fantastic one at that). Leave it to Satan to pervert all those goals and flip something beautiful into something very vile and harmful.

Some 2003 statistics on pornography and the impact of its on society were found by me. I am certain they are worse these days, 5 years later. Brace yourself:

Of the men and women admitting to Internet sexual addiction: 10 %; 28 % of those’re females (internet-filter-review.com).

This one impacts ladies more than we are able to imagine: More than seventy % of men from eighteen to thirty four visit a pornographic website in a typical month (comScore Media Metrix).

The young men of ours, even the Christian men, are getting fed a steady diet of nudity and sexually-related lies. In real life, women don’t look or act that way.

But perception is reality.

Our women simply can’t compete.

I was performing premarital counseling with a few when, on the last night of ours before the wedding, I provided them the opportunity to speak about something they wanted to get out in the open. Sure enough, the little female bashfully admitted the fear of her of disappointing the husband of her when he saw her body in comparison to each of the others he’d been exposed to all the life of his, if only just at store check-out counters as well as magazine racks.

Girls, do not be deceived. There’s a lot of wolves in sheep’s clothes. Outwardly, they may show most of the symptoms of becoming “good.” Inwardly, well…they’re a mess. You have every right to be familiar with his internet viewing patterns as well as see the publications he subscribes to. Don’t be so swift to give your heart away and invite problems in the future. As a former Singles Pastor, the word of mine of advice was always, “Become what you wish to marry.” It’s the reaping and sowing component.

Where porn’s influence on marriage is worried, at a 2003 meeting of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, two thirds of the 350 divorce lawyers that attended said the Internet played a major part in the divorces within the earlier 12 months, with too much interest in online porn contributing to more than half such cases. Pornography had a nearly non existent role in divorce just 7 or perhaps 8 years ago.” (Divorcewizards.com)

STATISTICS ON WOMEN WITH PORNOGRAPHY ADDICTION

Twenty eight % those admitting to sexual addiction are girls (internet-filter-review.com).

Which was 5 years ago.

Thirty four % of female audience of Today’s Christian Woman’s online newsletter admitted to on purpose accessing Internet porn in a recent poll and one out of every 6 females, including Christians, battles with an addiction to pornography (Modern Christian Woman, Fall 2003). There is a lot deliverance required and, regrettably, way too few who be aware of what that means to minister in that manner.

The effect on families and marriages is damaging, affecting females in yet another damaging way as their drive to e married and raise children in a great, happy home are dashed. forty seven % % of people said pornography is a problem in their home (Focus on the family Poll, October one, 2003). Add that to alcohol and drug problems, workaholism, domestic violence, overeating, teen rebellion, and everything that fails behind closed doors.

CHRISTIANS, PASTORS AND CHURCH PORNOGRAPHY STATISTICS

I hear of much too many cases of clergymen having affairs with female Members of the flock of theirs. It’s no wonder. 51 % of pastors say cyber porn is a possible temptation. thirty seven % say it’s a current fight (Christianity Today, 12/2001), Leadership Survey. The truth is, over half of evangelical pastors admit looking at pornography last year.

Roger Charman of Focus on the Family’s Pastoral Ministries reports that about 20 percent of the phone calls received on their Pastoral Care Line are for assistance with issues like pornography and compulsive sexual habit.

In a 2000 Christianity Today survey, 33 % of clergy admitted to having gone to a sexually explicit Web site. Of those who had visited a porn website, fifty three % had visited such sites “a few times” within the previous 12 months, along with eighteen % visit sexually explicit sites between a couple of times per month and much more than as soon as a week. These are the Church leaders of ours. When a lady with a problem visits a man that have the same predicament, looking for spiritual support, what else could we expect? Like spirits attract, of course.

The sheep are fairing absolutely no better compared to the shepherds with 29 % of born again adults in the U.S. believe it’s morally acceptable to check out films with explicit sexual behavior (The Barna Group).

Fifty seven % of pastors state that addiction to pornography is by far the most sexually damaging issue to their congregation (Christians and Sex Leadership Journal Survey, March 2005).

SEEKING COMFORT IN AN UNCOMFORTABLE WORLD

We are aliens on this planet. We are not from around here and, therefore, must give up on the efforts of ours at getting comfortable. Such attempts are futile. Nonetheless, because the cycle of psychological discomfort among females – even the Christian variety – has been going on for such a long time, our women are running to things as Valium, extramarital and premarital affairs, even religion, yes, porn and, soap operas, romance novels, in search of comfort. Some might embrace timidity, manliness, or what is described as being a “Jezebel” spirit. They’re doing that Instead of running to the God of most comfort; the loving Father who desires nothing much more than to kiss them and make things better. Ministry is needed by them but too few ministers are actually armed to minister in the required manner.

Precisely why would not a Christian run to her Christ as well as, rather, run into the arms of another lover like porn? The answer is obvious: She does not know Him. Like a male with homosexual tendencies, throwing himself into Christian system in hopes of cleansing himself and “getting better,” numerous woman expect that relaxing in a pew every time the door is opened and attending seminars, even reading Christian books, will all create their issue go away.

It will not.

Only Jesus has the power to try and do that. Only He’s our Deliverer. Freedom is going to come as soon as foul Spirit of Porn bows to The Name of his and no other.

I’ve read that the early Church would minister exorcisms to new converts before baptizing and introducing to the Christian society. Idea which is great!

Here are some promises from Scripture that I hope will support you. I followed this with a prayer you may need to stick and print by your bathroom mirror. Remember this: God is not mad at you. Stop feeling so guilt ridden and sin conscious and focus on your connection with the Redeemer. Jesus suffered for all the sins of the world, like YOURS. There is no judgment remaining, no wrath of God forthcoming, with no punishment. The God is actually and debt has been paid satisfied. Between Calvary, which was judgment on Christ, and the Judgment Day, when most of the books is opened, there is no place for judgment in this world. Nonetheless, almost all Christians can’t seem to conquer that sin consciousness which usually oppresses and suppresses them. The cost has been paid! You’ve actually been reconciled to God! When He views you, He sees Jesus! You couldn’t be up to scratch and you’re not terrible enough to lose the place of yours with Him. This particular goodness of God is what will bring you to repentance. Do not expect that from church services or Christian books.

Thank you for providing me the elegance to forgive those who harm me; they knew not the things they were doing to me. I feel you’re the Person who could Deliver me; increase the unbelief of mine that the things I wrestle with are perhaps real. Help me to un believe MORE I am trapped, that I’m a victim, I’m a second rate Christian. Help me to believe a lot more strongly than ever I’m who YOU say I am…redeemed, delivered, healed, the enemy’s worst nightmare, part of a Kingdom of Kings and priests. Thank you, Father. You are loved by me and I pray this in the mighty Name of Jesus, the Name above each identity. Amen!
